In September 2022, the Maris Stella College OBA UK partnered with the Sri Lanka Medical & Dental Association UK (Charity Reg: 800821) to raise funds for basic medical supplies urgently needed at Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Colombo.
On 11th September 2022, five dedicated members, Clancy Peiris, Amal Weerasinghe, Alwyn Martinez, Ruwanal Perera and Sam Senanayake, took on the London to Brighton cycle challenge. The team successfully completed the ride, raising over £3,000 for the OBA’s charity fund.
This partnership and the efforts of our members helped deliver vital support to Sri Lanka’s leading children’s hospital during a time of critical shortages.
